A few months ago, NASA discovered 6,000 planets beyond our solar system called exo-planets.

What are the planets made of?

They are made of elements like hydrogen and helium. Some planets have a surface of molten lava ,while other planets are so airy they seem weightless. Some others have clouds made of gemstones creating skies like we’ve never seen before.

Is there any planet like Earth?

The head of NASA’s exo-planet project (Dawn Gelino) said it’s essential to know if there is a similar planet like Earth in our universe ,and it helps us know how planets form as it links to science.

How did they find these exo-planets?

NASA used their amazing powerful telescopes to find these exo-planets and even took pictures of the alien planets! The team said it was very hard to find because the planets give off very little light.

Why did NASA do this search?

The team said they did this search to see what the planets look like and discover alien life.
