Emergency Tutor!

For some reason, I have become an emergency tutor, a GCSE English first responder.

I am…

The person you hire when your child just doesn’t care. A tutor who motivates the unmotivated.

The truth?

A kind kid with a polite demeanor, who lacks interest, will still struggle without motivation. Often distressed, parents contact me: I transform their once uninterested kid into someone that actively discusses poetry with eagerness.

Four Foundations, one success

Regardless of whether a child wants to move from a grade 3-4, 4-7 or 8-9, my job is ensuring they have at least four major foundations practised to ensure they have at least a stronger chance.

Part One: Thesis building

The stronger an essay introduction, the mightier the ideas.

Part Two: Structural analysis

A warrior who decodes a literary great’s writing structure can achieve great marks; Many kids struggle here and get capped. Not anymore!

Part Three: Creative writing and non-fiction writing

to create acclaim-worthy articles and short stories, practice is needed. My students write about a range of topics to sharpen their craft.

Part Four: Comprehension

the reader in class is always better prepared than everyone else. An article a week, beats the examiner, okay?
