Wake up! “Kim Kardashian Kares not about her audience”

Kim Kardashian is one of the most interesting figures in contemporary pop culture and an icon among influencers, who use social media and reality television to form beauty and lifestyle standards internationally. Yet, its power has sparked legitimate concerns over potential influence on society, especially the nation’s youth.

Even if she is given the credit for the popularisation of a thicker body type, this beauty ideal is very much constructed. She looks so touched up and gets surgery way too much – the standards are unrealistic. This may result in body dissatisfaction, low self-esteem and toxic comparisons, especially among her younger viewers

Her audience largely consists of young people who may not fully understand how manufactured celebrity images are. Although her content is not harmful, it heavily emphasises luxury, physical appearance, and material success without transparency. This brings the idea that self-worth is based on looks and wealth rather than personal values or achievements.

Her huge profile only magnifies unhealthy beauty standards and values of materialism. Although she’s thrown her weight behind some worthy causes, this is hardly enough to counterbalance the damage done by the image she carefully cultivates in the eyes of a vulnerable public. In general, her unrealistic beauty standards point out the danger of celebrity culture and just how important it is to question content online.

Although labeling Kim Kardashian as a danger to society may seem extreme, her massive platform amplifies harmful beauty standards and materialistic values. While she has supported some positive causes, these efforts do little to offset the negative influence her curated image has on vulnerable audiences. Overall, her impact highlights the risks of celebrity culture and the importance of critically evaluating media influence.
